# Traveler

Traveler, 2010
36x28”   Acrylic, pastel, watercolor on paper board
One who travels is not supposed to have a ‘final destination’ and a ‘limited time’ since he or she becomes the free as soon as they depart its ordinary life. Therefore, freedom was the theme of this artwork.

# Breaking Up

Breaking Up, 2010
36x32x12” plaster, foamboard
The hand of the sculpture is reaching for something through the debris. I wanted to portray myself going through the hardships of life. The hardships sometimes seem endless, but I always try to look for a little hope instead of the negatives.

# Dandelion

Dandelion, 2010
24x18”   watercolor, paper, leaves on canvas
It was the second version of ‘Viola.’ The theme was ‘decomposition of a flower,’ and the artwork shows how complex a flower can be.

# Aquarium

Aquarium, 2010
36x27x12” foamboard
Architecture may communicate its function or purpose through how it looks. The organic aspect and movement within the work indicates that it is a model for an aquarium. The shape of each floor was inspired by a dolphin.

# The City of Pantagon

The City of Pantagon, 2010
36x30x24” Styrofoam, wires, stocking
The unlimited possibility of architecture was the theme of this work. I focused on creating curves using unusual mediums.

# Sunset of New York City

Sunset of New York City
36x28”   photography
My intention was to show the balance between the nature and the urban landscape by juxtaposing the sunset and the architecture with wires. The work itself shows the balance as the wire divides the work and my intention of the meaning was accomplished with the contrasting colors of nature and urban landscape.

# The Four Devas

The Four Devas, 2010
30x24”   oil pastel on paper
The technique of scratching black pastel off was quite cliché, but it was effectively used to represent the details and the strengths of the Devas.

# Viola

Viola, 2010
24x18”   watercolor, paper, leaves on canvas
The theme was ‘decomposition of a flower.’ It shows that the flower is not just beautiful and soft, but it has its own complexity.

# My First Roses

My First Roses, 2009
16x12”   Oil paint on canvas
It is my first complete artwork on a canvas. I tried to put many details while using rough brush strokes.

# Shoes in Colours

Shoes in Colors
24x18”   Acrylic, pastel, oil pastel on paper
This drawing was created using different mediums that I was unfamiliar with. Knowing the characteristics that each medium has, I figured out how to put more emphasis on certain objects.

# Put Off Your Mask

Put Off Your Mask, 2009
24x18”   screen-printing and watercolor on paper
A newspaper was cut to make the stencil of my work and it used to screen-print with black ink. It represents the complexity of a person.

# No Stopping Anytime

No Stopping Anytime, 2009
36x28”   photography

# Comfort

Comfort, 2009
           30x24”   oil pastel on paper
Focusing on the curves and the highlights and shadows of the model, I was able to achieve a great contrast between colours and balance of the work.

# Connection

Connection, 2009
           30x24”   Conte on paper
It was done during one of the figure drawing classes. It was a five-minute blind-contour drawing of a back of model. I outlined the model while considering the shadows and highlights as well.

# Black, White and Red

Black, White and Red, 2010
36x28”   photography
This picture was photographed in New York and I tried to show the modern urban-landscape. The colours were adjusted so that the little reds can stand out and balance the whole photography.

# Alice in Wonderland

Alice in Wonderland, 2010
30x24”   pen on paper
This pen-art was inspired by the movie, ‘Alice in Wonderland.’ I included many symbols that represent the plots of the story in the movie.

# A Girl in Love Series

A Girl in Love Series (Summer/Autumn), 2010
20x1.5”  Acrylic on canvas
The girl in the left artwork and the right one are the same girl loving in two different ways. The girl on the left is younger and its innocence was presented with bright green colour and a frog on a raining day. The older girl on the right shows that she has learned to love a romance.
